Interestingly Arnica is from the sunflower family. Arnica produces daisy like flowers with a yellow-orange colour with soft hairy leaves in late spring to early summer. Arnica grows to a height of 30 to 60cm and is found in East Asia, Europe, Northern United States and Canada. Arnica doesn't grow well in the United Kingdon due to the type of soil and the climate it requires, but there is a small area in the north of Scotland called the Black Isle where Arnica is known to be grown.
